I cant eat the real ones anymore so I make these. 1 sleeve of Ritz crackers mashed as fine as you can in a ziploc baggie or large bowl. Add 1 can of Campbells Cream of Mushroom soup and stir it all together to make a "Paste" of cookie dough consistency. I have added a drained cheap can of mushroom stems and pieces in the past too. The crackers and soup have to be name brand the generics taste "tinny" to me. Just enough oil at medium heat to cover the bottom of the fry pan(1/16"?) and I spoon a gob in about tablespoon size and press it flat and brown on both sides. Drain well and serve warm. I cant announce Im making these to the house or they'll raid the kitchen and I cant keep up with them.

I think they do and everyone thats tried them here does too as far as I know. Ex BIL quit hunting morels due to turkey hunters and land access etc and only makes these now.

That is almost the exact recipe for my salmon patties only I add an egg and a can of salmon and cook the patties the same way! My friends always expect it whan they come over to play cards.

No problem Sunshine. Our salmon patties are saltines and egg mixed with a can of salmon. Some add celery, onion mushroom soup etc but my wife doesnt care for alot of that. I have had salmon patties made with an alfredo sauce and it was good but different.
