It's hard to afford to pay 40$ an hour to tear out, and fix up, modify and make like new. The electricians, plumbers, and especially the sheetrock men ;D

Memories are only worth so much!..Functionality and economy are a big reason to think about in todays times.

I love old homes, and that one sure seems loaded with character. Just think... that house was built with a hand saw and a claw hammer, that right there adds tons of character. The house I bought is an a 1914 model, and though I have put some money and time into, it never seems to be finished. It helps to do most of the work yourself, but if a guy works, you just can't muster up the time. Great house though Sunny.

I'm thinking about redoing an old house myself. I would do the majority of the demolition(I'm good at tearing up scat ) and then get some subs to do some work for me, I know an electrician, and a little buddy of mine does sheetrock work,(glen, I'll get u a box to stand on).

It makes me feel sad to see old homes like that be torn down, I feel kind of a connection to the old victorian homes. Weird I know but there is something about those times that interest me.

If that house had a good foundation, some acreage around it, and a fair to cheap price tag, I'd probably go for it. I'd bring a pro carpenter friend to help me and we'd have a killer house to resell. I bet that package we be worth a mint over there, and I'd even give Sunny a gift certificate to Wal-Mart for the finder's fee

Guess carpentry skills get the ladies in the end... BTW, he's married and wouldn't let another lady look at his tools, hehehe... sorry Take the cirtificate and clam up sister, afterall a shopping spree at Wally World is the cats meow for Rednecks. You should be so lucky to shop amongst higher class
