'Rats were our bread and butter this past season even though they were not caught in the numbers of the past. I'd have to look but I think ours topped a little over $8. We can only hold fur 10 days after seasons close and I wish we could have held them till late Febuary. The grading by all the country buyers was harsh and damaged/kits went real cheap. There was a about a 25% drop between graded sizes, $8, $6, $4 then the bottom really dropped with $1 to .25 offers for kits and damaged. I dont know what the auctions brought for some of the family that shipped to them yet. Hopefully they do better then the rest of us did at the country buyers and it makes it worthwhile for them to ship theirs and wait. I couldnt get the photobucket link thing to load.

With some furs the more north your are the better the grade/fur and usually the more they pay. Few exceptions to that rule of course.
