Hello all...
A friend of mine just dropped off a rack from last year to a friend taxidermist of ours. Since he was going over there, I decided I'd go and drop off an older rack that I always wanted to mount. So now the rack is at the taxidermist, and now I have to decide a pose that will best fit and make the buck worthy of his size. The taxi man scored the rack for me, and blow me away, he was bigger than I imagined! Anyhow, I need pics/ideas of beautiful muley poses. I am mostly interested in position of the ears. I am thinking of the ears up against the main beams and cocked backed a ways as if he's trying to hear behind him? What do you think? Got any pics of examples? Thanks. Joel
p.s. What about neck size? Fully swelled or semi-swelled?

196 4/8" gross typical and 192 3/8" net typical. 26" inside and 28" outside. He a dandy for sure. Probably take a full year to get him back though.

I don't know about the ears, but a rack that size with a swelled neck always is a better picture, IMO. Whatever you decide, good luck with it. Maybe put a picture of it when it's finished on here. That would be great!

This guy is real good, and he even had a contract for Cabela's for 3 years and yet he has only charged $450. He apologized to me when I dropped of the Muley rack, and said he now has to charge $490. I said, I don't care if you charge $550 or $600, cause you do a great job! If this guy was out there in the "real" world, where people actually live and there was big compitetion, this guy would still do awesome!!! To bad the man is in nowhere, MT. Kinda feel sorry for the talented S.O.B. 12 years ago, he did a beautiful whitetail shoulder mount for me, for the modest price of $260! I am excited to get this Muley back, as it is a beautiful looking creature.
