Does this mean we can bring everyone home and stop losing soldiers and money? He killed 3,000 civilians and many more soldiers. We have dumped billions into Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Libya to kill 3 people. Do we have our pound of flesh now?

Of course we can. Osama is the ONLY member of Al Quaida that wants to behead you because you are an infidel. None of the other Al Quaida or Taliban members want to kill you. The war on terrorism is over.
Liberalism truly is a mental disease.

People will always want to kill us. If we protected our borders and controlled imigration better we would be safer. Millions of undocumented aliens have free rein of america tonight. Most Afghans don't have enough money to even fly to this country and harm us. Of course now that we have dumped billions into their economy that may be different.

For all the disgruntled members of this political forum, now that Osama is dead.....
1. How little did Obama have to do with it?
2. How much sooner would it have happened if ANYONE else besides Obama was in office?
3. Why are you upset with Obama right now?

1. How little did Obama have to do with it? He had as much to do with it as McCain would have if he had won the election.
2. How much sooner would it have happened if ANYONE else besides Obama was in office? It would have happened at this pointin time, maybe a few days sooner, no matter who was in office. Remember how long it took Obama to give the green light to kill the Somali pirates?
3. Why are you upset with Obama right now? Not anymore upset with him than I was this time yesterday.

Do you really think that undocumented workers pose as big a threat to us as the jihadists? Most illegal aliens are Catholics, there is nothing in their religion commanding them to kill non-Catholics. Most Afghans don't have enough money to even fly to this country and harm us.The heck they don't. Muslim Imams here in America are funneling money to Al Quaida every day. How have we dumped billions into their economy? That's BS that sounds good, but not very factual.

Obama orderd his death. wonder what this will mean for the Presidency? Osama Bin Laden Dead: Inside The Raid That Killed Him FILE - In this April 1998 file photo, al Qaida leader Osama bin Laden is seen in Afghanistan. A person familiar with developments said Sunday, May 1, 2011 that bin Laden is dead and the U.S. has the body. (AP File Photo) By MATT APUZZO 05/ 2/11 03:09 AM ET React Important Fascinating Typical Scary Outrageous Amazing Infuriating Beautiful Follow Al Qaeda , Pakistan , September 11 , 9/11 , 9/11 Attacks , Central Intelligence Agency , National Security Council , Navy SEAL , Osama Bin Laden , US Navy , Bin Laden , Cia , Islamabad , Leon Panetta , Navy , Navy Seal Team Six , Osama Bin Laden Dead , September 11 Attacks , World News share this story50212233288Get World Alerts Sign Up Submit this storydigg reddit stumble WASHINGTON -- Helicopters descended out of darkness on the most important counterterrorism mission in U.S. history. It was an operation so secret, only a select few U.S. officials knew what was about to happen. The location was a fortified compound in the affluent Pakistani suburbs of Islamabad. The target was Osama bin Laden. Intelligence officials discovered the compound in August while monitoring an al-Qaida courier. The CIA had been hunting that courier for years, ever since detainees told interrogators that the courier was so trusted by bin Laden that he might very well be living with the al-Qaida leader. Nestled in an affluent neighborhood, the compound was surrounded by walls as high as 18 feet, topped with barbed wire. Two security gates guarded the only way in. A third-floor terrace was shielded by a seven-foot privacy wall. No phone lines or Internet cables ran to the property. The residents burned their garbage rather than put it out for collection. Intelligence officials believed the million-dollar compound was built five years ago to protect a major terrorist figure. The question was, who? The CIA asked itself again and again who might be living behind those walls. Each time, they concluded it was almost certainly bin Laden. President Barack Obama described the operation in broad strokes Sunday night. Details were provided in interviews with counterterrorism and intelligence authorities, senior administration officials and other U.S. officials. All spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive operation. By mid-February, intelligence from multiple sources was clear enough that Obama wanted to "pursue an aggressive course of action," a senior administration official said. Over the next two and a half months, Obama led five meetings of the National Security Council focused solely on whether bin Laden was in that compound and, if so, how to get him, the official said. Normally, the U.S. shares its counterterrorism intelligence widely with trusted allies in Britain, Canada, Australia and elsewhere. And the U.S. normally does not carry out ground operations inside Pakistan without collaboration with Pakistani intelligence. But this mission was too important and too secretive. On April 29, Obama approved an operation to kill bin Laden. It was a mission that required surgical accuracy, even more precision than could be delivered by the government's sophisticated Predator drones. To execute it, Obama tapped a small contingent of the Navy's elite SEAL Team Six and put them under the command of CIA Director Leon Panetta, whose analysts monitored the compound from afar. Story continues below Panetta was directly in charge of the team, a U.S. official said, and his conference room was transformed into a command center. Details of exactly how the raid unfolded remain murky. But the al-Qaida courier, his brother and one of bin Laden's sons were killed. No Americans were injured. Senior administration officials will only say that bin Laden "resisted." And then the man behind the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil died from an American bullet to his head. It was mid-afternoon in Virginia when Panetta and his team received word that bin Laden was dead. Cheers and applause broke out across the conference room. ___ www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/02/osama-bin-laden-dead-inside-raid-that-killed-him_n_856158.html

Were the hijackers from Afghanistan? Been reported for years he was in Pakistan since they were faking support and really not looking for him. Guess we attacked the wrong country. Not sitting in a cave with a dirt floor after all. I didn't figure a millionaire would be.

I congratulate Obama for making a great decision to take out bin Laden. I honestly didn't think he had the kahoonies to do it.
I don't think there can be any doubt this will boost his faltering popularity ratings. His re-election will be dependent on how many more screw-ups he has between now and then.
We do have an immigration problem, not just the southern borders, but all across the country. I partially agree with haus in that we need to worry more with the enemy that has already infiltrated our society. They are here among us.
IMO, we need to cut off all immigration from any country in the middle east that is hostile to America. We need aggressive racial profiling for people coming into this country that are from anywhere in the middle east. Yes, it's time to discriminate, the future of our country depends on it, it's just common sense.

I think every thing should be looked at on a case by case basis. A 70 year old Mexican woman working as a housekeeper that lets her visa expire is hardly the potential danger that a 25 year old student from the middle east that lets his visa expire and goes underground.
Were the hijackers from Afghanistan? Been reported for years he was in Pakistan since they were faking support and really not looking for him. Guess we attacked the wrong country. Not sitting in a cave with a dirt floor after all. I didn't figure a millionaire would be.
It doesn't really matter where the highjackers were from. Osama was in Afghanistan, he owned land and had interests in Afghanistan. We told Afghanistan to turn him over and they refused. Instead of blustering a saber rattling like Clinton would have done, W. made good on his promise. The Osama disappeared and noboy really knew where he went. We speculated that he MIGHT be in Pakistan, but there are other countries in the region where he could just as well have gone. I considered Libya or Somalia or Indonesia, too.
Funny you should mention that Osama was a millionaire, a couple of posts back you said that afghanistanis couldn't afford a plane ticket to the U.S.! I guess it didn't occur to you that Osama might pay for the ticket of any jihadist, wanna be martyr that would come over here and kill a few infidels on their home turf, did it?

He was born in Saudi Arabia, so I guess I'll rephrase that for you. Most Afghanistanis cannot afford a plane ticket unless a Saudi buys it for them. That better?

I agree, the war is a moot point. The strongest country in the world cannot afford to kill terrorists. China pays for 40% of each bullet we fire. This doesn't inlcude the interest we must then pay on their 40% of the bullet. Imagine each soldier filling a 30 round clip can only fill it with 18 bullets, they must pull out their china direct credit card to buy the other 12 bullets. Bring the soldiers home and let those countries rot in heck without our American dollars. Terrorists will not destroy our country. They will kill a few people now and then, but China can destroy us without any bloodshed. We buy their goods, borrow the money we just gave them, and then pay them interest.

China pays for 40% of each bullet we fire? Where in the heck do you get your facts. PLEASE SHOW A SOURCE! Yo are just like the idiots on T Man, if it sounds good enough to get indignant about, it must be a fact!
We havee not BORROWED a penny from China! Got that? Not ONE PENNY! China buys bonds from us, just like other countries do, and we buy bonds from other countries. The amount of money that changes hands every day would blow your mind. But there has never been an American that has gone to CHINA with his hat in his hand and asked to borrow money. It has never happened.
Why does China buy American bonds? Because they know that they will get a chance to cash them in with interest and realize a profit. Isn't it funny that the Chinese have more faith in America than the frikken liberals do?

China buys bonds because they cannot afford for us to go under. We buy too much of their stuff. As for the numbers look up this years budget and the deficit. Shows that we are spending 40% more than we are bringing in in taxes, etc... Just a matter of punching the numbers in your calculator to get the percentage.
If bonds are not loans then why do voters have to vote on local bond issues? Because the money has to be returned at some point.

First off the media has changed Osama's name to Usama, so get that straight, can't have his name looking similar to Obama's and we can't mention Obama's middle name either cause it reminds us of someone as well that we don't like.
Do you really think that undocumented workers pose as big a threat to us as the jihadists?
Already documented middle eastern men have crossed that border and got caught after entering into our country, two from Pakistan a few years ago caught in TN. So it isn't just poor maid's crossing the border Hawk! Shouldn't be ANYONE coming into our country that we don't know about, PERIOD! Another rough spot I had for Bush when he was president.
haus, I agree with you, we may as well pull every soldier out of every country, bring them all home as it really doesn't matter anymore. Obama has sat on his hands, even grand standed about Egypt falling to muslim nut jobs. Venezuala is putting nuke missile sites up, Obama hasn't said a word about that, Iran is taking over the entire middle east, what all these uprising's are about, increasing their nuke program with not a bit of worry about what the U.S. will do, North Korea is increasing their nuke sites as well as selling nuclear technology to every doohicky tom and harry that comes along.
So NO, we shouldn't have troops getting shot at anymore, let them all come back home and we can all sit and wait together for what's left of this country to go up in a mushroom cloud!
No idea why this country can't figure out we're going to fight these people either over there or over here, maybe when a shopping mall goes up in smoke some may figure out we're really at WAR whether they like it or not!
