This is how Obama keeps his promise to create jobs;
Obama Aministration Refuses Review of Tmber Plan
GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) - The Obama administration says it will not try to revive a plan to double logging on federal lands in western Oregon, dealing a blow to the timber industry and rural counties that depend on the government's timber payments.
Responding to a lawsuit brought by conservation groups, the U.S. Bureau of Land filed papers late Friday in U.S. District Court in Portland saying it agrees that the Western Oregon Plan Revision should be vacated by a judge because it did not go through proper consultation with other agencies over what harm the logging might cause threatened species such as the northern spotted owl and salmon.
A federal judge still has to decide whether to vacate the 2008 Bush administration plan.
"What they are saying is we can continue to having logging in these lands, yet we need to do it in a way supported by sound science that protects the water, protects the fish, and protects the owls," said Earthjustice attorney Kristen Boyles, who represents conservation groups that challenged the plan after a federal court ruling from Washington, D.C., had revived it.
BLM spokesman Michael Campbell said the agency will announce its plans in coming weeks. They will be in line with recent pilot projects in southwestern Oregon emphasizing thinning and forest restoration over timber production, and take into account the desires of the conservation community, the timber industry and timber-dependent counties, he said.
Timber industry spokeswoman Ann Forest Burns said she was outraged by the BLM filings and that they showed the administration doesn't care about rural communities that depend on timber jobs."The agency has taken absolutely no action to sell the timber they clearly could sell under these 2008 plan revisions." said Burns, vice president of the American Forest Resource Council.
The issue is far from resolved. The timber industry filed a separate lawsuit last week demanding the BLM double the logging level of the revision plan, based on a 1930s law setting production as the primary role of the lands under the agency's management in western Oregon.

And the same day that article was published this little gem was in the letters to the editor;
Still No Jobs. After six month as the speaker of the House, Republican John Boehner still has not created jobs.
All we heard from him for a year and a half was “Where are the jobs, Where are the jobs.”
He has had six months to create jobs.I've omitted the writer's name.

So I responded with a letter to the editor of my own;
An over used cliche, I know, but, you could cut the irony with a knife. I read an article in today's ADH that Obama has refused to revive a timber harvest plan that would double the timber harvest on federal land and put many more loggers and millworkers back to work. "Obama doesn't care about timber workers in The Pacific Northwest?" I thought to myself, "big surprise, there." After reading that depressing article I decided I needed something to cheer me up, so I turned to the Letters to the Editor, the letters from some of the local liberals are usually good for a chuckle, and Elden B. Huntling didn't disappont me. "Where are the jobs?" he asked, then went on to blame Republican Speaker of the House, John Boehner for not creating more jobs. Mr. *****, how can Obama's failure to act on a plan that would have increased employment right here in Oregon be blamed on the Republicans?

Liberals can't help it; we must always remember, they have no common sense.
Our government here in MN has been shutdown. We have a democrat governor with a congressional majority of republicans. To solve the deficit we have, the governor wants to increase taxes on the rich and spend more than doing that will bring in.
The republicans have worked out a plan where we don't spend as much as the governor wants and don't raise taxes. Their argument is you can't spend money you don't have or spend more than you are going to be bringing in. They also feel it's unproductive to increase taxes on the very people you're counting on to create jobs and boost the economy. In states where they increased taxes on the rich, it has never balanced the budget.
In Maryland, the governor, a democrat, decided if they raised taxes on the rich, they would bring in an additional 75 million in taxes, so he did. But, these rich people had secondary residences where the taxes were lower, like Florida or Texas. So, they just moved their residency there. Instead of a 75 million in tax surplus, Maryland found itself with a 100 million tax loss.

I noticed Minnesotascott commented on several threads today, but had nothing to say about this. Pretty hard to refute the FACTS.

A lot of the Bush-haters disappeared on here shortly after Obama took office. It's hard to defend such an idiot.

I saw today where past Interior Sec. Babbitt, he worked under Clinton, is all upset the rep. house is pushing legislation that would open up 'wilderness areas' to logging and more user groups. Where I grew up and trapped a huge 'forest' as we all called it was closed off during Clinton's tenure since he designated it a 'wilderness area' so all roads were closed except for foot travel, who is going to walk 30 miles around in hills and wilderness? Basically it's just one big waste of land now, beetles eating the timber, no one hunting/trapping/fishing, land just sitting there rotting down!
Im glad to see the new house leader's leaning toward reversing all of Clintons bad decisions, he locked up more land than any other president in history while in office, hopefully one day most of it will be opened back up so the public can use it again.

Obama still hasn't allowed more drilling in the Gulf of Mexico or even brought it back to the level it was before the spill. Analysts say this will cause gas prices at the pump to rise above $4.00 a gallon very shortly.
Obama is also being criticized by democrats and republicans for dragging his feet on the proposed Canadian pipeline. According to our Canadian friends and neighbors he has until Nov. 1 to make up his mind. Then, China is waiting in the wings and the pipeline will be built to the Pacific and the oil will go to China. This will make us even more dependent on foreign oil than we are now. This is probably Obama's plan all along, or his supporter and mentor, George Soros'.

His 'green' agenda hasn't gone anywhere. The goal is to make current source's of energy higher than the worthless 'green' energy cost now, ,basically force everyone into it whether the technology exist for it or not!
Between all the new reg's, epa mandates, stopped production, inflation and now a lowering of our credit rating in the world my vision back before he became president of gas over 5 or 6 dollars a gallon are going to come to fruition.
Yep, this is japflapper, couldn't get on with my old name so had to re register, lol.
On a side note locally a coal mine owner held a press conference this week, he purchased a permit to start a new coal mine not far from my house, real rural area with hardly any jobs to be had and those that are in the area are mostly low paying with no benefits. His press conference today was to inform everyone that because of all the reg's the gov. is impossing on him and all the uproar being caused by the environmental groups he's NOT opening the mine, not hiring 150 people to work at it with incomes of between 50k and 150k and won't be purchasing several million tons of resource's in the area annually to supply the mine with!
It's basically not worth his time or energy to fight everyone and their brother over it, he's got plenty of money and can go mine elsewhere, he was just attempting to provide good jobs and benefits to the people of the area and make a honest dollar in the process. I suspect all across the country this story is being repeated over and over. A real shame job creator's are now called 'the evil rich' and demeaned by the leader of our country to the point local area's like this get all fired up when one of them attempt to move in and help them out with good paying jobs, so much so that they are ran out of town on a rail, litterally!
We stop coal production in this country none of us will be on these computers anymore as everyone will be sitting in the dark with candles, no central air or heat! I hope then the enviro idiots are happy!

The reason Obama is balking at putting his stamp of approval on the Canadian pipeline is because the Canadians are going to be opening up new oil mining procedures called oil sand extraction which environmental groups are saying is not proven to be safe for the environment. Obama, being in bed with these wackos apparently agrees.
If Obama doesn't go along with the pipeline, it doesn't stop Canada from doing the mining anyway. But, it will be a huge mistake for America.
I also find it ironic that Canada is looking for and implementing more drilling. Here we sit with enough oil to last the next 200 years and we won't mine it. Instead, Obama makes the poor poorer. I hear from people around our area who are unemployed that they can't afford to look for a job with the price of gas what it is.
The only network that I've heard about this pipeline issue is FOX. That's why they can make the claim, "Fair & Balanced".

I might add, I hope the poor people in this country will see this issue of gas prices for what it is and come to the realization that this farce about the democratic party being the champions of the poor is just that, a farce.

Won't happen, go over to msnbc.com and click on one of the debt deal talks articles then read the comments below it, all the idiots blame the rep's for this whole mess and praise obama as being the only adult in the room during these talks ,lol.
If they're that dumb, then I doubt they have a clue who is causing energy price's to sky rocket.

ya'll can blame whoever ya want...and I agree our idiot pres. is most to blame. (he is Suppose to LEAD aint he?) But when all the wool is ripped through it will be seen that the FED. has as much or more to do with it than anyone else. it is called INFLATION!!!!!!!

This is way way worse than normal inflation, Huck, a trillion times worse. This is a result of overspending on entitlement programs like ACORN and borrowing money (in the form of bonds and t bills) to give to these same programs.

Same for Haus and Thirsty. Sorry, finally got the new house built and have been moving in. AT&T was also slow in getting my internet fixed. Took them 6 different people to run wire, bury wire, hook up interent, then when it didn't work, send out another guy who had to run new wire, now they have to rebury it again. Oh wait forgot to mention first guy who came said the work order was wrong and refused to touch anything. Guess theres still plenty of work if your lazy or an idiot. Anyway I like the letter you wrote, unless I missed it I was hoping the guy would write in a rebuttle to your comment and see how he defended himself.
