Without term limits, do republicans or democrats really want to gain total majority of the house, senate, and presidential seat? Without a majority, its much easier to do nothing and blame the other party. You still get the same paycheck, you still maintain influence on whatever panel or committee your on. The longer your in office the more votes you sell to your friends and special interest groups, so they in turn owe you when you need a favor. You can someday retire and get hired by one of these groups as a consultant and continue to call upon your friends still holding office for favors, since you have plenty of dirt on them that the press would love to know. You are immune to insider trading charges and can make tons of money based on this knowledge.

It's all a game to them, we'll win this year you guy's can win the next one and in the end we all get what we want, manage to pay off our supporter's to keep their support and we have a credit card with no limit on it so we can keep money rolling in and out as need be.
All has worked perfect for them for 100 years but now we're getting to the breaking point, the party is about over. Be interesting to see what emerge's from the ashe's once we finally collapse!
Forefather's wouldn't believe what this republic has turned into if they came back today and saw it.
