Even the talk show crowd are admitting McCain sucked and should not have been picked. So I got to thinking about why they would pick and old tired horse to run instead of a younger stronger one. The economy and jobs were going nowhere but down after the previous president. Do you think the GOP planned to let the economy tank, jobs tank, and sit on their hands for 4 years blaming the democrats for the mess we are in as a political strategy to win this time? I've heard the media say the republicans only goal for the last two years was to get Obama out, which also leads me to believe the "sit on your hands and do nothing" theory was what they had planned. The stock market has rebounded so once the old farts start retiring like they should have, had it not been for the down turn, jobs should start opening up to younger workers. The economy should rebound on its own regardless of which guy is in, but whoever is in will try to take credit for what would have happenened on its own anyway. Maybe the GOP is trying to time the recovery to make it look like they deserve credit. Just my thoughts.

I believe the GOP knew it would be difficult to get another republican in the White House after Bush partly because of the negative painting Bush got from the media and because he spent way too much money and was leaving a mess to clean up. I think he was a well meaning, nice guy, but not a very good politician.
There were better candidates than McCain, but why waste them when it was doubtful they were going to win regardless of who they picked? I was surprised at how well McCain did. He won more states than Obama, just didn't win the big ones.
Many of the old farts are retiring only to find they can't make it without at least a part time job, so they either don't quit or go back into the work force. I see it all the time. I know of very few over 65s that are completely retired.
Keep in mind that the first 2 years in office, Obama had it made with democrats controlling the house and senate. Even now, he still controls 2/3 of congress. So, to say the republicans are sitting on their hands isn't a very valid statement. Whenever Obama wants to pass something congress doesn't agree with him on he either invokes executive privilege or bypasses congress as a dictator does.
Too many lies and broken promises with Obama.

The liberal media has Obama ahead in all their polls. I don't believe much of what they have to say when it comes to polls. A good example is the Scott Walker recall in WI. On the second election the media said it was too close to call, yet Walker won bigger than he did the first time, by over 20%.
America can't afford 4 more years of the drunking sailor spending Obama is doing. He blamed Bush for all the spending he did. Yet, Obama has out spent Bush by over 2 trillion in just 3 1/2 years. Obama's "change" is to make America into a socialist society dependent totally on the government.
Obama said he would cut the deficit in half in his first term or it would be a one term deal for him. Instead, he added 2 trillion more of debt. He said he would drop unemployment to 5%. It still is above 8%, but when you consider that a lot of people have given up looking for work, it's really higher than that. He said his administration would have only transparent meetings. But, he has had more behind closed door meetings than any other president in history. When even the democrats in congress don't agree with him on an issue, he bypasses them and passes it anyway. Hitler and Stalin used to do that. I can go on with all of his lies and broken promises.

He's actually added 6 trillion in 4 years not just 2! And I don't think people understand how much that is since they hear numbers thrown around all the time. Basically it's enough to fund the war during WW ll ! And what did we get for all of this spending? ? But no haus, the house republican's have passed a ton of bills to get jobs back and dirty harry over in the senate won't even let them come up for a vote, mainly cause he know's even the senate democrats would probably pass the bill's which would result in Obama having to veto them making the case HE is the reason jobs are not being created right now, which is the truth! The ONLY thing that has held this economy down is him! I didn't really think even he could accomplish that as the economy normally goes up and down on it's own no matter who is in office but his dictator style of leadership is something this country has never seen before so he's been able to keep energy cost high as he wanted to do and put more people on gov. assistance as he wanted to do. He's basically got EVERYTHING he wanted short of amnesty for ALL illegal aliens, he only partially got that done, without congress passing the dream act of course, he just did it by ex. order! The country re elect's this idiot back into office they deserve what they're going to get! No more SS, no more food stamps, no more medicare, no more anything and a debt that will last forever!

Shimy, I said he added 6 trillion in debt in less than 4 years; 2 trillion more than Bush did.
Obama is incompetently incapable of turning this country around, but very competently capable in destroying it. I believe he hates America for what it is now and when he said, "Change", he meant changing it to what he felt it should be, a socialist nation.

He's like a robot, just reads whatever they put on his teleprompter. I doubt he has a clue what he's saying 3/4 of the time. Should of gone into acting instead of politics, he would be good at reading scripts.

I give him credit for being a super actor, but also a great magician, he has so many of the American people fooled.
