I am champing at the bit. My traps are ready to go.
Have you really counted how many traps you own? I did and some how that number came to 400 including the old Newhouse double jaws my grandpa had and the ones I used as a kid.
But for now it's duck season on Saturday.

HAHAHAHAHA not even close.
I have a new furshed/shop and haven't found the time to get it ready yet. Hoping to get some new traps this weekend but not sure I will make the convention or not.
I do hope to get all the traps tuned and ready this weekend though.
Deer archery just opened and I hope to put a deer in the freezer soon also.
CRAZY time of year aint it?

Been ready since April.lol.
We got back last week from trapping in Wyoming for 8 days.
Alexys took a break from school and went with us.she had a ball. She likes land trapping better than water trapping.
She got the thrill of her life when she caught a coyote and a couple reds.

I'm not, haven't even looked at my traps. I bought some of the new Bridger 1 3/4 and #4 victors that are still in box. Looks like I will have some time to trap but 2 years in a row I will miss the best month.
I am building a new shop and it will have a trapping area in it so I should be able to get better prepared instead of having everything piled up on top of everything.

This year I was ready but coon numbers are down and there are lots of little ones. Rats and mink? The spring fed ponds my neighbors want cleaned out have almost none.
Last year's drought did a number on furbearers except for possums.
