do you set in moving water?

setting in moving water is not a problem as long as there is not too much debris moving downstream. Most of the channels I set in have moving water!

some rat runs run straight out from the bank ( most of mine runs are this way) den runs and under bank feed beds are in most cases this way.. and the trash floats over the traps, but if i have a problem i just stick a few sticks in a line a few inches apart... long the run which will in most cases catch the trash.. but not in the run its self

Nice looking sets.
Sunshine I use colony traps mostly on 2 situations, 1--is for bank dens, and the other is when there is marsh on both side of the road, here they use 6 to 8 in tubes under the road, then I take a colony trap and slide it about a quarter of the way inside the tube on each side of the road and then take some road grass, and put it over the top of the trap, virtually blocking anything from crawling over the top of the trap. The reason I use a trap on both sides of the road is that, I have had so many muskrats packed inside of the trap I had one heck of time getting them out, and some had bite marks and tears on them.
