Sam it's "Brylcream"....it was a hair cream that the hip/groovy dudes used back in the late 50's and 60's....u remember seeing the old movies and adds with guys with the cigarettes rolled up in their sleeve, and their hair slicked back and shining..... ;D
No, I never used it......by the time I was old enough I had that "long beautiful hair"

I think my Dad was a plank owner in Brylcreme. We both used that stuff by the bottle back in the day. I liked the smell of it, when I was a whippersnapper.

Hey, Earl,
You remember that wax the barber used to put on the butch haircuts? It was in a blue tube, and the wax was red. Butchwax or Duxwax I think was the name of it. Guys used to use it on handlebar mustaches, too. Smelled real good, but gawdamighty, was it ever thick!

I think they are talking about a Vaseline head tc. Let's all do our part for the environment: Greasy hair may not help you to attract the object of your affection, but it might reduce the amount of ozone you breathe in. Lakshmi Pandrangi and Glenn Morrison from the University of Missouri in Rolla exposed eight washed and eight unwashed hair samples to ozone for 24 hours. They found that, on average, unwashed hair absorbs around seven times as much ozone as freshly washed hair (Atmospheric Environment, DOI: 10.1016/j.atmosenv.2008.02.009). "Ozone is probably reacting with components of hair oil," says Morrison. Ground-level ozone can cause respiratory problems and has been associated with increased mortality. Morrison says that having greasy hair could reduce your ozone exposure if you are indoors. "For dirty hair, the ozone concentration around the head is likely to be substantially lower than the level in the room," he says. Move over Al Gore, these guys are gonna win the next Nobel Prize for the environment!
