We have been keeping track this year and the biggest male in the colony has been caught the first time on "Dobbins Backbreaker", we have used other lures with nowhere near that kind of success ratio. 2 of the others were well respected lure makers also. The backbreaker was either set on a conventional castor mound set with a #5 bridger guarding it, or in a beaver slide with a chanelled conibear setting in front of the slide, or in a side channel with the lure on a stick. Ordered $50.00 more this morning from Paul ;D

Only thing I have ever used that comes close to Dobbins beaver lures is Tom Olsens "Mound Master/ Mound Master2" all three are very good lures. I use them all to keep from educating the beaver to one or the other.

Funny you should say that Earl 'cause as a matter of fact I know they do. I caught a beaver the last day of the season and it had a Madison sticker on it belly. You know it good if it can call a beaver across the mountain
