Tried a couple, dont remember the names right now. Worked well. Buddies down in Ky. like them alot. Ole Bill Nelson was way ahead of his time on lures and sharing trapping info. Whos making Fullers Lures now?

Oh Miss Cathryn, you had better wake up and smell the skunk juice, cause they are one of the finest lures produced from the old Bill Nelson formulas. They have been popular form Mexico to Alaska before I was even born. Mink, Laugeman's Big Sky Lures has been purchased by: John Hughes of J & M Furs Flatwillow Rt, Box 3065 Roundup, MT 59072 406-429-7591 jandmfur@midrivers.com

Badger, it was the first brand I used on my first trapline, and it was 98% of the lures I used ever since! Although...I havn't bought them since they were sold out when Fuller died, as I was a little scared they might not be the same quality. So, I have been asking opinions on these lures now. Sure they are real close though, just need to hear some words on em is all.
YW Mink.

..."It will continue to be known as Big Sky Lures. For the past 10 years John has furnished Fuller with quite a few of the ingredients and is familiar with the process. All products will continue to be made using the Nelson formulas and following Fullers instructions."
Hope this is true, gotta have my Laugeman lures! Think I'll give em a shot again, and see if they really are the same.

When Fuller owned and made it it was a good lure. Now I'd be very cautious about the quality. Don't think Johnny has it in him to keep the quality going.

secesh, you know a little inside dirt on John? Is he more about sales than quality??? Would you still suggest them to me, a longtime Fuller customer?
Cajun, is your review on Laugeman's lures based on current production, or lures from Fuller's days?

Long time user of Pacific Call. Don't think JH has the knowledge, the ability or the natural ingredients to keep the Laugeman Lures the quality lures it was with Fuller. If JH still has some surplus from Fuller no problems.
I can't suggest any one lure maker over the other one. One guy loves Graham (can't stand it). Some love Lennon's fairly good stuff. It all comes down to what you want. I wouldn't buy anything new made lure from JH. That is just me.

I understand what you are saying secesh, just cause John supplied ingrediants and had blended up some muck now and again, does not make him one of a quality manufacturer. I have been wondering about this for years now. Cajun, I spose it is hard to tell if you are still getting the surplus these last years, or the new, but I am still a little scared about haveing some of the finest lures in the world in a another man's hands... I am confused on this matter I admit.
