who here makes there own baits i make a few for coon
what are some of yalls favorite recipes for different animals

This trapping section is loaded with lure making. I make a lot of my own bait for all the animals that i trap. But when i dont make my own bait i will buy hawbakers lure.

find ya a persimmon tree ... collect all you can ... mash 'em up and let them start to ferment ... you know that smell ... mix in a lil bit of glycerine and a ounce of honey essence (about one to two quarts of mashed persimmon, i like the one ounce to one quart ratio) ... kind of a sweet and sour thing going on lol
grey fox will show some interest in this as well ... and dont forget ol' mr. possum too lol
you can add a small amount of sodium bezoate to stabilize the mix - * the honey essence can be substituted with phenyl acetic acid (in liquid form)
also molasses and honey mixed with glycerine
loganberry oil is also a very good coon attractor
anise is a good one for coon too
it aint a lot that a coon isn't interested in though lol ;D
have fun ... that's all that matters!
