I'm going to grind up a beaver castor to use as a rub set for cats. How much sodium benzoate do I need to mix with one whole castor?

I don't know bro. I would ask that question on T-Man.
Good Luck,

Ask Newt, but off hand I would say a teaspoon full is plenty!

Why not just tincture the castor in everclear or glycerine and do away with the preservative all together? Unless I'm missing something here, that's what I've done in the past, and never added any preservative.

Agree with tcttppr, all I do is grind the castors, add glycerine(found at Walmart in 4 oz bottles), and alittle 100 proof vodka. No sodium for me.
