Can this be used for jaw lamination? i think its galvanized, and will JB weld work for fastening it on the trap? Thanks a bunch, Luke

JB weld is only good for radiators I would not use it..It's not good to use anything galvenized to weld..It produces a toxic gas too..I would recommend using 3/16 round rod steel. anything that has been annealed such as trappers wire has already lost it's temper..once you hit it with a welder it will break or melt. If your looking for a another way to make trap mods without welding..look into flat stock steel the same width as your trap jaws..you can hammer the bend into the flat stock to fit your trap jaws and than fasten by drilling holes and using rivets or bolts..not nearly as pretty as welded 3/16 rod but effective..also more time consuming than welding...

The flat stock rivet method works good,you can even use 3/16 machine screws and nuts for fastening the flat stock.
As far as the galvanized wire,I'd stay away from it like was already mentioned.
