3-4 peeled or unpeeled cucumbers sliced 1/4 inch thick.
1 cup vinegar 11/4 teasppon salt 11/4 cups granualted sugar 2 teaspoons celery seed I medium to large green pepper (optional) 1 medium onin sliced thin
Toss Cucumber and salt into collonder and let sit two hours
Mix sugar, vinegar, and celery seed and heat.
Add cucumbers, pepper, and onion and mix well.
Put into jars, cover and place in Fridge.
let Sit for 24hrs before eating.
These will last up to about 4 months in fridge.
Note: I sometimes have to dbl. everything but the Cukes depending how big the cukes are.

Yes they stay crunchy.....btw...
I had 2 quarts yesterday morning....Tommy showed up.....I got empty jar and the other about half gone now....LOL

Some dam bug wiped out my cucumbers. Other wise i would have tried it. We love pickles around here. I am the only one that likes sweet pickles

They aint real sweet but are that type pickle. I on'y like two sorts of pickles....Bread and butter are my favs and these....dill pickles make me pucker so bad it hurts.....LOL
I am talkin about you and limp pickles.......sheesh!!!!!!!!!
I don't told ya they stay crisp and crunchy. Listen will ya........

Here is an easy one and it works. When your favorite store bought pickels are gone just keep the juice and repack the jar with Zuccini. The Zuccini will take on the flavor of the juice and it works great.
