The caster glands reside right under the fur literally. Here are a couple of pic that will show you were they are. I hope this helps you guys to be able to save your castor from the beavers to use on your lines!

Also that tip of the knife will cut through em in a heartbeat. Be careful if you want to save em.

If you are gonna save em for resale, try to get all the red membrane off, and freeze them until ready for sale.
