Here's the last one me & Cameron called in last year. As we were walking in to set up that morning Cam spots a big fox squirrel in the fence line. He begs me to let him break in his new 20 gauge but I tell him to hold off till we get done calling then he can squirrel hunt. As we walk through the gate the squirrel sits in a branch almost eye level w/ me and never moves. So we cross over to the next ridge and start calling. In just a few minutes we have a big male Red come running in and Cam says he can't get a clear enough shot, so I take him. We call a few more minutes and after nothing shows he asks about the squirrel again. (Just wants to shoot the new gun is what it is. But glad he didn't take a chance on a bad shoot w/ the fox) So we start back up the trail and have to stop and watch a spike buck for 10-15 minutes as it never knew we were there. After the deer leaves, we get to the spot where his big squirrel was and low & behold it's still in the same tree. So the 20 gauge gets broke in. Here's a pic of that days take...

Yeap. Nothing better than having the kids out w/ ya. I love all the questions he comes up with. Makes ya stop and think more on how he even noticed the stuff to question. And that makes being out there that much more fun.

Sometimes when they ask the question, you need to stop and think it through and end up figuring something new out.
