If caught out and starving for something to eat. The best food source you have is small feeder stream. Or springs as these can give water and food in a pinch. Now these won't sound to appetizing but if your hungry and i mean hungry they will feed ya and keep ya on the way to surviving. Tadpoles, crawfish, Minnows and worms these food items can keep you going if starvation sets in. Look under rocks and debrie in the water for the crustacians and block down part of the water in stream to force the minows and tad poles into a corner and with a log big enough to block retreat then catch them at your leasure. Eating them raw if need be. Worms can almost always be found around the banks of the streams and springs. Another good source of protein. Food is strenth and strengh will get ya thru.

If ya happened to have been trappin when ya get in a pinch.....use your traps to get food....i know most trappers would do so without being told.....but some wouldn't.
A 110 can be used for many critters really....eadible critters!!! Including fish.

There are a lot of different kinds of fish traps that can be made. If the stream is shallow enough to allow it you cnd drive stakes in a V pattern across the creek, a with a small opening at the point, then make a small enclosure around the opening, then go up stream and start a ruckus splashing and running, chasing the fish down to you trap. You can then use a spear to ct kill the fish caught in the enclosure. That's basically how the BLM rounds up the wild horses. Except they don't spear them afterwards.
