Assuming of course that I'm wearing adequate clothing and don't need that on my list.
1. Dry matches/lighter - something I can build a fire with. That's really key. 2. Water - or a way to purify water - a pot to boil it in or tablets. 3. A shotgun/shells so I can get dinner.

1. Blonde 2. Brunette 3. Redhead
May as well go out in style!

the knife, butane lighter, and 22 handgun. as far as the cell phone; if your lost in the wilderness your lost. my family always tells me to take the cell phone along in case something happens, well i do but how will i tell them where i'm at ''UH HONEY COME OUT ALONG SWAMP ROAD TILL YOU SEE MY TRUCK I'M UP TO THE LEFT BY THE 2nd OAK TREE. actually a few years ago my son got lost in a area we had only hunted 1 time. he trailed a crippled deer and finished it as it got dark, but then didnt know where he was. soooo he got out his cell phone and called pop. well we talked it over got him settled down and headed out to the nearest road. no it wasnt the road he was parked along but the first car he flagged down knew where that road was located so i guess a cell phone might be handy.

yes if you can get a singal they would because they can actually trace those signals now and pinpoint your location through satellite.

for those of us who arent that educated so that we can tell our families and friends who is THEY. i hear about lost hunters every year (dont know if the hunter had a cell phone or not) and the police and fire companies always turn out as many people as possiable to march thru the woods looking for whoever is lost. lardest durn deer drives i'v ever seen. helped in one or two of these. by the way the way i got my son out of the woods went this way; they didnt trace his cell phone signal, course i didnt know they could. 1.sit down and have a smoke (i know not everybody smakes) and calm down. i'm going to hang up and call me back as soon as your done with your smoke. 2.now that you called back do you hear cars or anytrhing, yes. good. 3.walk toward the sound and watch for headlights. i realize there isnt always roads near by but sound really carries and if the recuser knows anything of the area the lost can be directed to that sound.

yes if you can get a singal they would because they can actually trace those signals now and pinpoint your location through satellite. Depends on the area you're in, who the cell carriers in the area are, and how many towers there are in your area. Our area doesn't have phase two wireless, yet. The newer cell phones sold in 2008 have the GPS capability, but there aren't enough towers in the area to triangulate the signal accurately. Hopefully, soon.
