Here are examples of the three sets i make for coons and foxes on log crosovers. The first one is a flat set where the fox or coon will exit or step/jump on the dirt. I have shown pics from the before and after. , , , Next is a pic of the snare set up, complete with overhanging branches and coon turds on the log. , , Here is a pic of a 1 1/2 coil set in a notch that i chipped out in the log with a hatchet. , , , Here is a pic where the critters are exiting and entering the other end of the log. Another good place for a flat set.

La, if u see a good log, u can help your situation by making it more user friendly......By this i mean, maybe chopping off a limb or clearing out a path to the log or making it easier for an animal to get up on the log. We all know how foxes and coyotes like to travel old roads and trails. Make your own log crossing. Good luck, let me know how it turns out.

I use the snare set for crossing logs at every chance I get. Unbelievable how productive they are. L.A. Even if they don't look like there being used doesn't mean they aren't. I have several locations that don't look hort but get hit hard if the water rises. Great post Earl

You go find you a log and drag it down there and make your own log cross over before season and see what happens you will be pleasently surprised.

Improvise and be creative, kinda like making the rock cubby DH talked about... While this may not be time-effficient during the season, what a great way to enjoy the off-season. Beats playing video games....lol ;D
