This set is in the middle of a old logging road that at the point it intersects a gas pipe line. The logging road leads to a pond. I found where a nice tom was walking the pipe line so I made 3 sets for him. I wound up catching two toms in dirt hole 200 yards in both directions from this set. Here is top view of one of my cat set. I use two traps and make clear way for the cat to walk all the way through the set. The cat dose not have to back up or turn around. Watch your house cat and you will see, they hate to back up. I took three gray fox here, never did catch a cat, but it sure looks good. You know thinking about it, I have never taken but one cat out of this type walk through. I have how ever taken a lot quiet a lot of fox in this style set. Maybe I need to stop telling everyone I am setting it for cats and start telling them I am setting it for fox. ;D

i think a snare would work there too i was planning on setting up some walk thrus with snares set on them to see how good or if they work. that snare works if it rains or not.

offshore a snare would work there ,but the best part is it has a nature kill pole.i would use a 1/16 snare 6 ft long.any thing caught would wrap around the tree and i don't beleave would mess up the area...so you could keep on setting it up
