Use a screwdriver to pop springs and a nut driver to reinstall them. Common tools easy to get if not already in your tool drawer! For jaw removal ... Had this posted a while back, here it is again. Here is a easy way to remove or install jaws from traps. First remove the pan, springs and spring pin. Then all you will need is a pair of vise grips like this ... Place the vise grips around the jaws like in the picture. Adjust them so that when pinched closed they will squeeze the jaw together, allowing for removal. For jaw installation place jaw into vice grips. Squeezing the jaw to allow for installing. Place one jaw tip into trap frame, line up the other jaw tip and release pressure from the vise grips. Jaw installed. Repeat the process for each jaw. Really couldn't be any easier! Hope you find this helpful.

Bill thats a great post I really like the welding clamp idea for jaw removal and replacement.
I have been using a screwdriver for coilspring replacement tool one of those ones with the removal bit insert you can just force it onto athe spring and it has a nice handle to hang onto. just my 2 cents
