ok well we set up at this cow pasture and then about 30 turkeys flew off the roost..they wouldnt come in no closer than 100 yards so we jsut waited..then 4 jakes came in at about 10 feet...was about to blast them but desided to wait cause i still have a lil while left...nothing came so we put the sneek on them got right up to them and busted them up and bam i missed a tom when he took off shot behind him, didnt leed him.
then we went and glassed another big group of turkeys. they were 2 bearded hens, about 4 hens, 7 toms and a WHITE jake..i was going after the white jake and then this tom with 2 beards one was atleast 12 inches nad the other was atleast 7 or something liek that..they never came in but another tom did so i had the dot lined up to him and saftey clicked off, was about the squeeze the trigger and he went behind a tree and didnt see him again till tonight.
we went home and got 2 decoys and set them out and started calling. this same tom that i almost was gonna blast came in. he came in at about 35 yards and kaboom.hit him, but he didnt die he took off wabbling nad almost falling over so i chased him but he was faster lol
never did see anything else today. where going out again tomorrow

Good Luck blake. I learned a lessen when I was thirteen. I was deer hunting and a big herd came through. About 40 or 50 deer. There were a few bucks in the herd. I had my sights on one but wanted to get a better shot. So I waited. And I waited and waited some more. Next thing you know. All in about 3 minutes, All the deer were gone and I never got off a shot.
Moral of the story is. Most times hunting you only get one chance. You better make it a good shot and dont procrastinate.

Make sure you bring a fresh set of your pampers. Just in case you have an accident.
